Amy Earle

Trained in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
BScHK, MScPT

Amy completed her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2019. Prior to pursuing a career in physiotherapy, Amy worked as a kinesiologist after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and Biology from St. Francis Xavier University in 2016.

After a wide variety of work experience in areas including acute care rehabilitation, geriatrics, orthopedics, and cardiopulmonary rehab, Amy has made the exciting decision to pursue her career in pelvic health. She has completed her post-graduate training certification to become a pelvic health physiotherapist and follow her passion to treat pelvic health dysfunction. Amy has taken additional course material focusing on a pelvic health approach for treatment of dyspareunia, male pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse. Amy has also taken courses to focus on manual massage techniques, and pessary fitting.

Amy has completed her teacher training in Clinical Pilates with a focus in pelvic health. Amy thoroughly enjoys teaching classes incorporating breathing techniques for pelvic floor mobility and promoting function. Amy’s interest in pelvic health lies in her personal relationship with pelvic floor physiotherapy, after working through pelvic health issues of her own. Her goal is help others gain knowledge and support around their health issues, and to build a trusting and comfortable rapport with her patients. Amy’s specific interest lies in gastrointestinal and rectal disorders, and hopes to provide a safe environment in her treatment room by providing open space for sharing experiences.

Outside of work hours, Amy enjoys being active on her bike outdoors, nature and portrait photography and exploring different beaches within the province.
